It has been determined by the National Skills and Standards Council that a Certificate IV Training and Assessment (formerly known as TAE40110) must be held by all those who will be delivering services of training and assessment in the sector covering Vocational Education and Training (VET). This mandate is set to go into effect on July 1, 2013.

Purpose of the Course

The purpose for obtaining the Certificate IV Training and Assessment is to ensure that those providing industry training and conducting employee assessments are qualified to do so. There is a requirement of completing 10 National Quality Council endorsed units in the program in order to obtain the certification. Participants, upon completing the training program, will be qualified to both train learners in the workplace and to assess the learners’ retention of materials covered within the VET sector.

Certification holders will also be able to conduct the planning, organizing, facilitating, and assessing of both learners on an individual and group basis within a safe and diverse learning environment.

In addition to that, qualified trainers will have a good working understanding of how to utilize systems and available records in order to verify full validation and compliance of all methods and materials.

Training Requirements

Although there are no formal requirements for specific class qualification, it is recommended that cert iv training and assessment students possess good literacy and language skills as well as a good working knowledge of computers. Distance coaches or classroom facilitators will be provided to assist with task or project completion as will all relative study materials.

Creative Intensions Provides Full Course Training

Creative Intensions offers the complete course units for obtaining the cert iv training and assessment in a face to face, distance, or on-site setting. Face to face training entails 10 intense days of classroom training. Distance learning allows you to take up to 12 full months to complete the Cert IV T&A course over the internet. With the on-site option, we set up the course at your workplace location anywhere in Australia.

Two days of relative workplace training are required to complete the program. If you do not have a place of employment in which to complete this portion of the cert iv training and assessment program, contact us to make alternative arrangements.
